January Favourites

I thought it was only right that I should start doing monthly favourite posts  and let's face it, more often than not they will entirely feature beauty products! I'm gonna try and aim for five products each month but I guess it will just all depend on what I'm loving beauty-wise that month! I can't believe just how quick January has gone, but it's been a great month for me beauty wise!

1. Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita - £38
First up of course has to be from Charlotte Tilbury. As you may have noticed by my previous posts I am completely obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury's make up range and her Dolce Vita Palette is my favourite of the lot so far! Although there is only four shades to this one I find it such a versatile palette as you can create a look for both day and night. May have to dedicate a whole post to this beaut soon, let me know if you'd like to see this.

Beauty: Coral Loving

When I first started to really get into makeup my favourite thing to buy and wear was a coral/peach lip. I literally did not own many pinks, reds or nudes as I would keep buying coral shades, I think I had a bit of a problem! However, with the latest obsession for nude lips obviously encouraged by none other than Kylie Jenner, my love for coral lips has fizzled out. So in a sort of shopping the stash I thought I would rekindle my love for coral lip colours and bring back the coral lip!

Beauty: My Nars Eyeshadow Collection

I'm still some what a newbie where it comes to the whole eyeshadow thing! I only started buying and consistently wearing eyeshadow towards the end of last year but it's safe to say I now rarely go a day without wearing eyeshadow! Aside from my beloved Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette, my second eyeshadow loves are those from Nars. Although I only have a small collection of Nars eyeshadows I really love the quality and the colour range of them, however they are fairly expensive! Despite the price I do really love them so I thought why not share them with you today!

Beauty: The Perfect Base

For me the most important make up quest a girl undertakes is trying to find their perfect base and I think I may have found my personal favourite base routine. Personally I am a big fan of the dewy skin look with a lightweight foundation. I also tend to go all out on the concealer as I do prefer a completely flawless base. So here's the products I use to achieve my perfect base.

Pins of the Week #2

favourite pins pinterest

My first pins of the week post seemed to be pretty popular so I'm definitely going to be keeping this a weekly thing which you can expect to see on my blog each Friday at about lunch time.

1. I love the idea of having an inspiration wall in my room and after seeing Corrie's post, I wanna do this even more! And where better to look for inspiration for my inspiration wall...why of course it's Pinterest! I love how simple this looks but the wire behind and the lights really do give it that added touch that I love.

Beauty: What's in my Everday Make Up Bag

Make up bag Charlotte Tilbury, Hourglass, Bobbi Brown, Nars, Real Techniques

Today's post is a quick one featuring the products I bring with me in my make up bag on a day-to-day basis. For me I see these as all essential make up products that come in quite handy on the go! The make up bag and mirror is from a set I received for Christmas from Cath Kidston, I just love the colours and floral design!

Beauty: Best of Topshop's Make Up Range

Topshop make up range, sunbeam, whimsical, velveteen ribbon, secretary

I'm a big fan of Topshop make up but I feel it's often under rated as it doesn't get a lot of attention in the blogging community. I find Topshop make up is amazing quality, includes such a wide range of products and all of this is at such reasonable and affordable prices! So today's post is the low down of my favourite picks from Topshop's make up range.

Beauty: Paul's Boutique Brushes

Paul's Boutique Luxury Make Up Brush Set - £14.00

One of the beauty products I forgot to mention in my 'What I got for Christmas' post, were these Paul's Boutique Make Up Brushes. This is as I wanted to try them out enough to give a fully detailed review. Paul's Boutique Luxury Makeup Brush Set features four brushes: a powder, blusher, eyeshadow and hard-angle definition brushes. These brushes also come in a neon pink fold over clutch which helps keep brushes safe and clean and is incredibly useful when it comes to travelling and perfect to just pop into your handbag. The clutch also comes with an extra pocket so you can also pop in any other of your essential make up brushes into it too.

5. Mac Lip Liner in Soar - £12.50
7. Nars Blush in Sin - £22.50
The fact that this Real Techniques brush is rose gold is probably half the reason I want it, however it's also nothing like any other brush in my collection! I think we all want to achieve that perfect contoured look and I'm excited to see whether this brush is the perfect tool for this!

Beauty: The Perfect Kylie Jenner Nude Lip

I think it's safe to say that Kylie Jenner has made everyone long to find that perfect nude lip that she rocks so well. My love for nude lips started long before the Kylie Jenner days but her enviable instagram snaps has made my quest for the perfect nude lip combination even stronger. Although everyone and their dog seems to be doing a similar post I thought I'd voice my opinions on the nude lip obsession.

1. Mac Velvet Teddy - £15.50
This is my favourite pick of the bunch and I thought I'd start with this one as its believed to be the one Kylie Jenner wears. As a result of this it appears to be unavailable in all Mac stores (sorry for those of you who want this, but on the Mac website you can enter your email for them to notify you when it's back in stock). This colour is a deep tone beige and is one of Mac's matte formulas.

Beauty: Top 10 of 2014

I I thought I would supply my two cents on my favourite products of 2014, the 10  products that I couldn't have lived without this year.

 1. YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation -  £30.50
I think a good base will always make number 1 on my list of top products and this has been my favourite foundation ever since it was first launched back in 2012. I love the formula of this although it's a dewy and lightweight foundation it's still buildable to provide amazing coverage on those bad skin days. It's also incredibly long lasting.

Lifestyle: 2015 Blogging, Beauty and Personal Goals

I've never really been the type of person to bother with new year's resolutions but after the ups and downs of 2014 I'm now ready to make a fresh start and set out some goals to make the year ahead the best yet. And now that I'm trying to get back into the swing of blogging I thought I'd try and make not only some personal goals but some blogging and beauty goals as well.

Beauty: Charlotte Tilbury Loving!

If you have read my 'What I got for Christmas' post you would have seen that I received a Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade Amazing Grace. I have lusted after pretty much the whole of Charlotte Tilbury's collection since it first hit the shelves and I found it rather difficult to pin point which product I wanted to include on my Christmas wish list. I couldn't have been happier with my choice as I loved this lipstick so much that I rushed out and purchased two more CT products, so it's safe to say that a new obsession has arisen.

Beauty: What I Got for Christmas

This year the majority of my Christmas wish list was made up of beauty products, which I have been lusting after for ages. So I thought I'd share with you and give a brief review of what I received.

Naked 1 Palette Urban Decay Nars Silk Road Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Amazing Grace Mac 217

First up is the Naked 1 Palette by Urban Decay. I've wanted this palette for ages but haven't been a big eyeshadow wearer so always felt that this product would be wasted on me. However, since recieving this for Christmas I have used this prety much everyday and it's safe to say I'm now loving using and experimenting with eyeshadows. I'm sure everyones read a 1,001 reviews about the Naked 1 palette but it really is an amazingly versatile palette with matte and glittery eyeshadows which help create looks for the day and the night. My most used shades so far have been: Sidecar, Half Baked, Toasted and Hustle.
Another eyeshadow product I received was Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Silk Road. These two eyeshadows really are beautiful and when applied provide a really subtle eyeshadow look. Both shades are shimmery but not in an OTT way. The first shade is an icy pink and the second shade is rose gold with golden flecks. I would highly recommend trying this shade out if like me you're trying to get more into using eyeshadow.
